What I learned...

...from watching Swiss Family Robinson with my family this weekend:

  • my memory was not exaggerating the fantastical nature of the treehouse. That thing really is AWESOME!
  • My youngest resembles Francis in a lot of ways. He would be the one catching the tiger for sure!
  • Roberta is quite manipulative. Missed that whole sub-plot as a 10-year-old.
  • Alexa does not want to be caught off-guard by the end a movie. Every time any scene ended peacefully, she would ask, "Is that the end?". She finally relaxed when "The End" showed up on the screen.
  • The Robinsons are very hard workers--they get quite a bit done in very little time. I wish I was as efficient!
  • I still don't like the water snake scene.
  • Theo needs many fiddlers to make it through a movie like that, or his fingers would be bleeding! But he loved it.
  • Silas has many more ideas on how to protect the fort. They might've worked.
  • I still would choose Fritz. He's the man.
